Data

The Data tab loads and reviews the precipitation record, and confirms the location and ecozone the analysis will use.

Loading a record

  • Open File… — load an offline CSV or Excel record. (ECCC station import is done from the Map tab; both paths land here.)
  • Analysis column — choose which numeric column holds the precipitation values, and set its units alongside.

Reviewing the record

  • Dataset summary — split into Record and Precipitation groups, with cards for resolution, years of record, precipitation statistics, and a missing timestamps count (its tooltip shows the expected record count).
  • Data overview chart — a quick visual of the record.
  • Climatic region (ecozone) — states the ecozone the loaded data will use for its sub-daily / IDF ratios (see the Sub-daily ratios overview). If none is resolved, it shows a warning prompting you to set a location on the Map tab.
  • Location / provenance echo — the active location and where it came from (ECCC station vs. manually set).
  • Data table — the raw rows.

Notes

  • The analysis-column and units selectors live in the Precipitation group header; changing the column updates the summary and what the analysis tabs see.
  • Everything on this tab works offline once a file (or imported record) is loaded.
